I remember when W "won" his second term - all the lefties including me and my beautiful wife thinking/talking about migrating to Canada or somewhere across the pond. Well, we're still here (trying in our small ways to make the world a better place) but keeping our passports fresh.

I would not recommend moving here. You would get arrested for speaking out against the war anywhere in the Westminster area, all the way down to Lambeth Bridge. And Canada just elected a right winger. Australia, same thing.
Either get comfortable in another language, or move to New Zealand, I'm thinking.
