Dumb Dumb's World

Well, in Dumb Dumb's world thing are crumbling worse than any cookie that I have ever eaten. His poll numbers are down in the way down dumps. It seems off that Bill Clinton had a higher approval rating during the impeachment process then ShrubCo has right now.

It would seems that the troops want to come home and be out of the cluster-fuck known as the Iraq War. We are damned if we do, damned if we don't. Thanks to the crooked morons who are currently  running this so-called democracy.

Ugh, I need a drink.

Fat Tuesday

Happy Mardi Gras and especially, Fat Tuesday. Is anyone out there going to party like a rockstar? Tonight, in San Francisco and the Bay Area you can head out to a few places that are giving a percentage of proceeds tonight for Katrina Aid.

So, that's right drink up! Hey, this time it even has a point. That's right, shake what your momma gave you to earn some beads, bitchez!

Port Whine Grows

Well, now. It seems that both sides of the aisle are still smoldering from last week’s US Ports contract negotiations. Is it that surprising to anyone that Americans are supsicous about a company that hails from the United Arab Emirates? The White House has decided to call the calling off, off by accepting a 45-day security review by Dubai Ports World.

The fact that our xenophobia is showing does not surprised me in the least. One Republican lawmaker is claiming that Dubai Ports World has ties to Osama binLaden and the Taliban. Really? I can’t find that evidence – show me. While Democrats are opposed to the deal, now, is because a secretive committee conducts the review. The findings are only shown to the President (Yea, Dick Cheney).

Of course, the whole thing is a comedy of errors. Dumb Dumb (further proving my nickname) had no clue about the deal in the first place. I am guessing that ShrubCo has never read, “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” An of course, I can't help myself and wonder what will Halliburton gain from this? You speak like a rat, you like a rat, then you are a dirty rat.

Unsolicited Suicide

While reading the New York Times today, I came across this essay that gave me a chuckle and a few thoughts.

As with anyone who has something to say or a point-of-view, we want to express and have it heard, read or seen. However, that end goal has no easy path. Even if you are as successful as the author of the essay, Allan Katz.

It is easy to see that we all have the same struggle whether it is getting a theater to pick your play, no matter how the method or getting a bigger blogger notice you and your witty, pithy posts.

We're all just out here feeling exposed, suffering for our form of art and really -- almost willing to go any length either in jest or in actuality. I hope that Allan gets his play into a theater because it will mean that I can get my blog noticed by those who currently hold their nose in disgust at me.

Synopsis: I blog, you ignore and I might have to resort to drastic measures and blog from my grave

Don Knotts, RIP

Knotts2Don Knotts passed away yesterday at the age of 81. His comedic brilliance will be missed. He was best known for his roles of Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith Show and as the buffoon apartment manager on Three's Company, Mr. Furley.

He was known for his acting, self-deprecating wit and to be a solid guy who came from humble beginnings in a small town in West Virginia. A lot of people do not realize that he was also a big parting of the writing team for AGS. Check out IMDb for more.

All I know is that a part of my childhood is gone which is just further evidence that I am an adult and that nothing stays the same -- as it should be.

Good night, Mr. Furley.

BlackBerry Will Not Go Dark

Apparently, Federal Judge James Spencer did not order an injunction to RIM (Research in Motion)'s BlackBerry network. He may issue damages soon. He could order an injunction, but it does not look likely which is good for all of you CrackBerry addicts out there.

For more background on the story, check out this quick segment on KTVU that aired last night -- if the link doesn't work -- it is down on the right side and is Pam Cook reporting.

Should I give in now and get a CrackBerry? Does anyone think that maybe just maybe the Fedral Judge won't issue an injunction because the FBI and other government agencies use them? Hmm.

I Do to You, You and You

I read this article on Slate today and can’t help, but wonder if there isn’t something to it. Why can’t women share a husband?

It is really not that radical or is it? It seems somewhat logical to me for busy, professional women. You can divvy up dating, chores and responsibilities. At least, when you have an event, you are certain to have a date. The only that could get complicated is when children are brought into the mix.

The finances could be easy. Living arrangements could be as easy or as hard as you want to make them.

For once, this could put the women in charge and make for some real, positive changes in the World. Especially, if we could learn to build one another up.

Saying a group I do could be a good thing!

Barry Nice

Well, we can all stop holding our breath now. Barry Bonds has decided to show up to Giants Spring Training. Hey, he is only two days late and has only missed one team workout.

But, that’s okay because he is Barry. He might take BP today and he might not. My suggestion: work on your fielding, you over-aged, ball-dropping Left fielder.

There has been much fodder over his potential retirement at the end of the season. Gosh, I sure hope so. Will he have enough class to step down without breaking Aaron’s record? Not to mention, then the SF Giants could get some players under 30.
