Barroid

As if he isn't disliked enough, Barroid aka Barry Bonds is suing the Chronicle reporters who wrote a book that talks about his use of steroids. The lawsuit does not address the claims -- oh so telling -- but addresses other issues which are best explained this way:

Instead, he said, he plans to use California's Unfair Competition Law, Business and Professions Code section 17200, to prevent authors Mark Fainaru-Wada and Lance Williams and their publishers from profiting from the book.

OK, you can't make any money of off Barroid or his misdeeds. Interesting twist and a little pathetic. As you know, I am not a fan of Barroid - look here and here.

Good news is that the judge said no. Bonds is pariah #1 at this point. I heard someone say how you notice so many old-timers from baseball who are in their 80's nowadays. You think we will see Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Sheffield, Giambi, Clemens, and on and on and on as 80 year olds? No way. That is the price they will ultimately pay for this; their organs giving out and bodies collapsing.

Given that Barry's career should have ended five years ago, maybe he should donate all his Giants' salary over those years to the Special Olympics or Mathletes?

Barry? Give up money? To a charitable cause? Ha! Ha! Ha! Good one Seamus! ;-)
