Christmas in July, errr, August

Who doesn't love a scandal? I know that Blogenfreude over at Agitprop certainly does! A certain Republican Senator's house was searched today!Something good is brewing and I can't wait for the scoopage.

Senator Ted Stevens' home was searched today by the FBI and IRS. Alaskans must be full of pride.

Yeah, he's the Senator who wanted money to build "the bridge to nowhere - it would have linked the town of Gravina (pop. 50 and on an island) to Ketchican (pop.8000). He wanted and got $230 million from the Feds and the bridge would have been almost as big as the Golden Gate. People were so outraged that Alaska ended up giving the money back. Maybe he kept some of the money to buy wine and spend on his fugly house.

After a little further reading, I have learned that Stevens was tipped off by the Justice Department. Or should we call it the Republican Justice Department? What a load of crap!
