Boycott Beijing

Please join me in boycotting the Beijing Olympics. I also plan on protesting China's treatment of Darfur when the Olympic torch comes to San Francisco on April 9. Please join in, if you can.

My blog (a sports blog) will be boycotting the games. I am not happy with the boycott efforts, though, because their focus is too narrow for me. In addition to the obvious human rights violations, there are the poor farmers who are having their water stolen. But then, there are the dogs and cats--both strays and pets--being slaughtered, many in front of their families to "cleanse" the city. That is just as horrific as anything else. http://tinyurl.com/2ubh2y

Yes, they are oh so many reasons to protest, but this group is currently the most organized to protest in SF. I am happy to see you blogging again!

I never stopped blogging, Catherine. I started Womwn Who Serve the day I laid The Dees Diversion to rest. And up until recently, I still blogged once a week for the MoJo Blog. Of course, I no longer blog about political or social issues, per se, but they do come up on a regular basis, even on a tennis blog.

I still read a lot of blogs, though not as intently as I used to.

Oh, and for now, I'm also blogging regularly for The Democratic Daily!
