No on 8

I was delighted to read this morning that retired 49er and Mormon, Steve Young and his wife have No on 8 signs in their yard. They also donated approximately 50k to the No campaign. I always liked him!

On the other hand, Jeff "Asshat" Kent has donated to the Yes campaign. How can he be a graduate of Cal? Another good reason to boo his ass whenever I see him play!

My favorite part of the map? The notation of the local street worker. Oh, the coffee is delicious because they are currently using Stumptown beans.

Mark Leno for CA Senate

I cast my ballot this morning for Mark Leno to be my next California State Senator. Now, I could write about all of his awesome credentials and list numerous reason as to why, but I won't. I would prefer to tell you some personal stories about his crazy opponent and hope that you have not voted will join in me in supporting the best candidate.

His main opponent is Carole Migden and she has a lot of problems. First, she has had a run-in with the Fair Political Practice folks. She can't drive and I have seen her on the phone on I-80 on more than one occasion. Okay, now to some of the good stuff.

When I worked the CA legislature, she was a member of the assembly. She had more staff turnover than anyone else. Rumor has it that she hates khaki and one Friday afternoon when she decided to come back to the Capitol, she happened to call the office. The staffers who were wearing the offensive material were ordered to run home, change and be back before her arrival. There are others, but you get the point.

Boycott Beijing

Please join me in boycotting the Beijing Olympics. I also plan on protesting China's treatment of Darfur when the Olympic torch comes to San Francisco on April 9. Please join in, if you can.

Ya Think?

There might be steroid and other illegal substances being used in the SF Giants locker room. Really? I, for one, am shocked.

Barroid Proves His Nickname

As the five of you who read this blog know, I do not like Barry Bonds although I am a life long Giants fan. Why is he lying and ruining his career and legacy? What he is teaching his children?

Classic.

Stormy Weather

In Northern California, we have been pounded by a storm. We had bridges and freeways closed for some periods of time. I was without power yesterday from 7:55 am until after 9 pm last night. Sure it was inconvenient and I lost some pricey groceries, but I got my power back unlike some people.

A Volvo parked on Dolores St. was damaged by a large tree. This happened about half a mile from my house.

Why is This News?

Apparently, our Mayor has become engaged. Why is this news? One article claims that he is the most eligible bachelor in our fair City of San Francisco. According to whom? If he is the best one we have, there better be a mass exodus of single women from town.

Some of his highlights:

  • Gavin is 40
  • Divorced
  • Been to rehab for an alcohol problem
  • Known for his temper
  • Career in the toilet
  • Had an affair with a married staffer

Got Flaxseed Oil?

Barry Bonds aka Barroid has been indicted today by a Federal Grand Jury on perjury and obstruction of justice charges.

He says he didn't.
Most people say that he did.

This isn't the point now. It is the issue of his lying that is in question with this decision.

The grand jury has had almost a year to bring about an indictment. Today, they handed down the decision. Is there new evidence? Nobody is saying.

Greg Anderson, Bonds' Trainer, was subsequently released from prison today. He has not, nor will he cooperate.

What do you think? Can he get a job, now? I am no fan of Barroid.
