Mother of Civil Rights Movements Passes Away

Rosa Parks died earlier tonight at the age of 92. Our Country has lost another important figure. It is a tragic loss. For Rosa Parks taught us that just one person can make a difference, one person can start a movement and that one person can alter the course of this Nation.

Her act of civil disobedience brought about an important awakening to this Country that sparked a season of changes. More importantly, Rosa Parks brought her message without violence, without words and it spoke louder than any politician will ever be able to speak.

Tonight, the dreams of which she often spoke and tried to instill others have suffered a great loss. We should all remember her fight and carry on in her name whenever we see injustice. Rosa Parks dreamed and worked toward freedom and peace -- we should all be so noble.
