And The Point?
Okay, I was in Boston over last weekend. Can anyone tell me what is the deal with the Fried Dough? to be honest, I didn't try it. The stuff looks and smells nasty to me, but I noticed it at Fenway and some street carts.
Anyone? Endangered Coffee or Bostonist?

I used to get the fried dough at the NY State Fair and any of the street festivals during the summer. It's basically a cross between a funnel cake and a doughnut. Fried goodness. With a light dusting of powdered sugar. Yum.

I'm touched you would seek my advice. Mags pretty much hits this on the head, fried dough is typically a summer fair treat. Not sure what the quality of the Fenway variety is. The powdered sugar definitely makes it worthwhile.

I never understood this culinary trend either. I saw this all over Boston when I was there a few years ago. Sounds like it's still going strong.
