Facebook Deletes Breastfeeding Pics
A mom in Canada received an email from Facebook telling her that she had violated the terms of use of the Web site because she had posted pictures of herself breastfeeding. What the hell? Since when is breastfeeding obscene? This is ridiculous.
I find Facebbook's attitude obscene. TechCrunch has a good post and wisely points out that this type of feeding centers around breasts.
Karen Speed (the mom) has responded by deleting her profile and started a blog. Other moms are following suit by deleting their profiles, too. I have been thinking about starting a Facebook profile, but in the interest of sisterhood -- forget about it!
