I have to confess that I am seriously considering quitting blogging. Any thoughts from the Peanut Gallery?

I think blogging needs to come from the heart. As with anything, you need to have passion for what you do to be happy. Of course, even the most passionate artists go through "dips" in their creative endeavors. Maybe you just need to re-charge your creative batteries with a break?

Then again, it is April Fools Day, so you could be tripping us all out as a joke!

If you're not enjoying it, don't continue. Knowing that your loyal readers will miss you should not give you the guilts or anything. A blog is ultimately a hobby, and if you're not getting a kick out of it any more it's time to move on to another hobby.

I understand the feeling. I'd suggesting quitting if you're really going to replace blogging with some more wholesome outdoor activity. If it's either blogging or online gaming, stick with blogging.

I second the 'do it if and only if you enjoy it' sentiment. Blogging should be fun, first, and any other objectives are secondary (or tertiary). It's not a job, except for those for whom it is a job.

I totally hear you. I can't say goodbye to YFP, so I only blog when I feel like it. Maybe just hang back for a while, you know? Sometimes you do need to have an outlet for expression. That doesn't mean you have to get rid of this blog. Just my two cents.

Don't worry, everyone goes through this. It's like your ideas dry up and you're too tired to go find more. Take a break and come back strong. Once you stop blogging, you'll find you've got all sorts of thing to talk about. It's strange, but true.
